Any updates, or just what was in the fp article? I didn't see any updates recently. I did however enjoy the general manager calling the ZL1 owner extortionate.

GM is involved directly now, this will be over soon and that dealership might get a serious spanking.

As in, they won't get high performance vehicles anymore for sale. At least that is what I would do if I was GM.

"Go sell someone else's vehicles." Is what I would do, but I'm not GM.

Well you get into the whole franchise rights issues, but GM has every right to prevent the dealership/dealer group from ever ordering a high performance vehicle ever again.

Customer service. Even if you don't think you're wrong, accept that you're wrong. It'll cost less in the long run.

Absolutely.

My dad had a engine block issue on his truck and instead of the dealer going to war over not covering it, they took the thing for 3 weeks, paid for a rental, and fixed it all up.

I can't imagine getting a dealer who would shun responsibility to this degree.

The customer might not always be right, but its far cheaper for you in the long run to accept that fact and let them have their day.

It took 20 days for the thread to go viral. 20 days. Lawyers and insurance adjusters can get a lot done in 20 days. The dealer really only has themselves to blame for letting this get out of hand. I read all the posts on Camaro5. The OP wasn't entitled or whiney or out of line, it was just a "I think I'm about to get shafted by the dealership, this is why".

They never seem to learn. Don't piss off the internet.

Also, the owner of the car has gone quiet at the advice of attorneys while they work it all out, it sounds like they do expect it to take a week or so to hammer out an agreement. I've been checking the original thread on the Camaro5 forum daily.
